While it's a Canadian holiday honoring and remembering the horrors of the family separation and indoctrination of Indigenous children over the past 100 years. It was a time for us to remember that while the United States doesn't have a particular day set aside in memory, we also had a similarly atrocious system of schools. This past week, on Friday, President Joe Biden went to a reservation in AZ. to offer the first-ever apology for what happened in our country's past.
