Amidst an atmosphere of vibrant colors and contagious joy, First Lutheran Church enthusiastically returned to participate in the 2023 San Diego Pride Parade alongside "Lutherans for Love." No strangers to this celebratory event, the church, along with six other congregations, marched together for the second time, proudly standing in support of the LGBTQ+ community. With 140 dedicated participants, their active involvement reiterated their commitment to fostering inclusivity, love, and acceptance. 

A Celebration of Love and Unity: On a sunny morning, the 2023 San Diego Pride Parade commenced with familiar fanfare: city streets adorned with vibrant colors, spirited cheers, and beaming smiles. Once again, First Lutheran Church stood hand in hand with "Lutherans for Love," championing love, understanding, and acceptance. The group's 140 participants exemplified the strength of their collective resolve to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.

Sustaining Support for Inclusivity and Equality: Having previously participated in the Pride Parade, First Lutheran Church showcased their ongoing commitment to creating a compassionate and welcoming space for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Picnic Lunch at Balboa Park: Following the parade, the spirited celebrations continued as the participants from First Lutheran Church and "Lutherans for Love" gathered at Balboa Park for a picnic lunch. This cherished tradition allowed everyone to share experiences, stories, and laughter, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
